Biography

 

Margreet Nuijten was born and raised in the Netherlands. She gratuated as a dancer from Codarts, University for the Arts, Rotterdam. After her studies she danced in choreographies of: Andre Gingras, Liat Weisborth, Arthur Rosenfeld, performing their work in various countries: The Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Hungary and China. Margreet is trained in contemporary/ floorwork, ballet, jazz, latin and tapdance.

 

Her first contact with circus was in 2011 in Brasil. For the following years she trained the art of circus, specializing in Aerial Silks. Performing her work touring throughout Brasil with different companies.

 

As a dance-teacher Margreet worked for various schools in the Netherlands; Dancestudio La Barre, Dancestudio Evites and SKVR. Teaching ballet, jazz and contemporary to children and adults.

 

With more than 10 years of professional guidance in the field of music, Margreet is also a singer/songwriter creating her own compositions using piano and voice.

 

Last year she combined Aerial Silk with singing and premiered her act: "Fuel to Fire" (using the equal named music by Agnes Obel) at the "16e Convenção de Malabarismo, Circo e Palhaço" in Brasil.

 

Last year (2015)  Margreet has been working with 'Companhia Ruda' presenting : Um sonho real, touring Brasil.
